From 2012 to 2015, Prof. Eboh served as Director, University of Nigeria, Nsukka Distance Learning Programme (UNN-DLP).

In 2009, Prof. Eboh was elected as pioneer President, Agricultural Policy Research Network (APRNet – www.aprnetworkng.org).

From 2015-2023, he served as Chief Job and Wealth Creation Offi cer & Head, Delta State Job and Wealth Creation Bureau, in which capacity, he was a member of the State Government’s Economic Management Team. As Chief Job and Wealth Creation Offi cer, Prof. Eboh led the conception,
initiation, planning and implementation of Delta State Government’s fl agship youth-focused skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development programmes which resulted in the creation of more than 10,000 youth entrepreneurs across several vocational and agricultural enterprises.

Since 1990, Prof. Eboh has had many international research fellowships with agencies, among which are:
- Social Science Research Council of America/American Council of Learned Societies, New York, USA;
- African Academy of Sciences (AAS), Nairobi, Kenya;
- African Development Foundation (ADF), Washington D.C.;
- International Foundation for Science (IFS), Stockholm, Sweden;
- Council for Development of Social and Economic Research in Africa (CODESRIA), Dakar, Senegal; and
- African Technology Studies Network (ATPS), Nairobi, Kenya. 

Prof. Eboh also worked on several programs and projects involving policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation, socioeconomic surveys, business environment research/dialogue and research networking with agencies including:

- UK DFID NIGERIA;
- USAID NIGERIA;
- EU-NIGERIA;
- World Bank Nigeria;
- Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA);
- United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA);
- International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD);
- United Nations Development Programme (UNDP);
- African Union Peer Review Mechanism/NEPAD; and
- United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). 

Prof. Eboh has served in many international scientific panels and technical committees. They include:

- Scientific Panel Member, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) International Scientific Panel on Sustainable Resource Management, Paris, France, 2010-2012
- Scientific Advisor, Climate Change Studies in Nigeria (Climate Sense Programme), African Technology Policy Studies (ATPS), Nairobi, Kenya, 2010-2012.
- Member, Global Expert Panel on Development Paradigms post￾MDGs, coordinated by the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), Ottawa, Canada; and 
- Member, Independent Scientific Panel of the African Sanitation Think Tank – the Intergovernmental Pan-African Agency Water and Sanitation for Africa (WSA).
 
Prof. Eboh has provided technical assistance and accumulated robust networks in policy development, policy research, programme monitoring and evaluation and capacity building for Federal Government of Nigeria Ministries, Departments & Agencies (MDAs) including:
- National Planning Commission (NPC);
- Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN);
- Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD);
- Federal Ministry of Environment (FME);
- Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry (FMCI);
- Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC);
- Office of Special Assistant to the President on MDGs (OSSAP￾MDGs);
- National Bureau of Statistics (NBS);
- Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN); 
and
- National Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).
- Prof. Eric Eboh served as a Member of the Ministerial Policy Working &
- Advisory Group, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, from 2014-2015.

Prof Eboh is married with children.
