Principal Advisor, Institute for Public Policy Analysis and Management (IPPAM). Eric Eboh is a Policy Economist and Development Specialist. Starting his academic and research career as Assistant Lecturer in September 1989, He rose to Professor of Agricultural Economics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in October 2002. During the period, he founded the Natural Resources Economics Group (NAREEG), co-founded the Development Research and Action Team (DRAT) and served as Coordinator, Project Planning and Appraisal Course within UNN.
In 2003, he was appointed Executive Director, African Institute for Applied Economics - AIAE (now re-named African Heritage Institution - AfriHeritage), one of Africa’s foremost policy think tanks, a position he held until 2012. In 2009, Prof. Eboh was elected as pioneer President, Agricultural Policy Research Network (APRNet – www.aprnetworkng.org).
Since 1990, Prof. Eboh has had many international research fellowships with agencies, among which are the Social Science Research Council of America/American Council of Learned Societies, New York, USA; African Academy of Sciences (AAS), Nairobi, Kenya; African Development Foundation (ADF), Washington D.C.; International Foundation for Science (IFS), Stockholm, Sweden; Council for Development of Social and Economic Research in Africa (CODESRIA), Dakar, Senegal and African Technology Studies Network (ATPS), Nairobi, Kenya.
He also worked on several programs and projects involving policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation, socioeconomic surveys, business environment research/dialogue and research networking with agencies such as UK DFID NIGERIA, USAID NIGERIA, EU-NIGERIA, African Development Bank (ADB), World Bank and Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD); United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), African Union Peer Review Mechanism, NEPAD, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
Prof Eboh is married with children and brings the wealth of his experience to bear as IPPAM’s Principal Advisor and Member, Governing Council.
